Well aside from running the other sports I love to play is Tennis. I’ve been playing for quite sometime casually never competitively and during that time I haven’t use an overgrip before because I don’t see the need for it. Well I was wrong. When I play tennis the sweats drip all the way down to the grip and plus by constant use of the topspin forehand of mine, even the brand new grip will seem beat up after just one tennis game. So I got tired of keep changing the grip which cost money, I decided to invest on an overgrip so that the replacement grip remained good enough for more games which the beating is taken care by the overgrip. My tennis raquet which I constantly use is the Head Titanium TiS6 Series which is pretty much light weight and feels great. I haven’t changed the strings since I bought it but I did however changed the grips so many time, hence my need for the overgrips now. The overgrip I’m trying for the first time is the Wilson Pro Grip.
So I’ve tested out the overgrips in the court to see if there’s a difference in my game in terms of grip and control and well all I can say is that well the grip and control is much better than I thought. I manage to get my backhand and ever serves in with the overgrips rather than just using the replacement grips. The extra grip provides a much better grip and control for a much better controlled shots in my forehand and surprisingly my weak backhand. Depending on your preference but to me I need overgrips on my tennis racquets!
