Google Drive Gone By March 2018

Well there goes my cloud drive next year and along with it my files. Just kidding!!! It’s actually being replaced by something called Backup & Sync. So well your files are still practically safe it’s just the application and name are changing. Google announced recently that they will end their support for Google Drive for Mac/PC by end of this year (December 2017 of course). And by March 2018, it will be killed entirely. For those Business and Enterprise users, you are encourage to use Drive File Stream, which is now available to all G Suite customers. Well I guess it’s time to make the switch soon but there’s still plenty of time before the end of Google Drive starts. Now Google Drive is really important to me as I do keep some files there that I need to access on the go. Expect Google to start reminding Google Drive users to make the switch to the new application.
