Recently I finally get to test completely the Garmin Forerunner 645 while swimming. I mean I did test it for Running (Refer to my thoughts in my previous blog Garmin Forerunner 645 Music – My Take On It (Running)) and I list out what are my thoughts during my running. So now i’ts for my other favorite sport swimming. But as we know while using it for swimming, heart rate (you need the chest strap for that one), music and GPS does not work so the list of things to be listed will be just down to a few things.
Now my thought on this is that felt great on my wrist and though it is accurate enough to determine the distances of my swim, the stroke however at my first time swimming was classified as “Mixed” instead of the breast stroke I was doing. But I am however please with the accuracy of the distances when I did my swimming laps and perhaps the stroke part came out that way was because I did stop to play with my daughter in the pool before continuing my swim. The watch records the time, swim time, pace, calories burned and stroke nicely and again it syncs well too. Comparing to my previous watch Misfit Shine 2, this one gives a whole lot more info I’m not yet accustomed to but helpful.
The integration of the Forerunner 645 again works as it should. It syncs my calories burned while swimming straight into my MyFitnessPal app and updates my total calories for the day. So again I have no complaints here.
